At The Throwing Club, we only “invite” athletes who are willing to dedicate their time to our process. We are not interested in the “try it out” athletes, as this is not what we are about. If you are looking for a gimmick get Velo quick program, we are not for you. We recruit athletes who have a burning desire to become better throwers. Whether that is a 13 year old outfielder or a 22 year old professional pitcher, The Throwing Club is the place for serious players who want a serious environment to improve their throwing.
"What if we told you that everything you have been taught about throwing a baseball is wrong? Would that scare you or would that makes sense in some way?"
"What if we told you that everything you have been taught about throwing a baseball is wrong? Would that scare you or would that makes sense in some way?"
Well, one has to admit that change can be uncomfortable. However, what if a change in thought is backed with empirical data? Does that help one understand the “why” behind the change and help to accelerate a new understanding and the process to adopt the change?
As players, we all believed we could hit the ball further and throw the ball harder. After years of research, watching hundreds of hours of video and talking to some of the best minds in the industry, we are all convinced that we had more potential inside of us. We are also convinced that we, along with others, were “coached” out of potential gains in velocity by well-meaning coaches who thought they were teaching the correct way to throw.
Now, at The Throwing Club, we have totally changed our thinking on throwing mechanics. The old throwing cues of thumb down, wide arc, and chest to glove have been eliminated from our vocabularies. Today, we talk about scapula loading, positive disconnection, hip/shoulder separation and ground force reaction. We have found that by remapping the arm path to become more efficient, pitchers and position players are staying healthier and gaining velocity/carry. The Throwing Club incorporates these concepts into our learning protocols and it translates into all position players.
We challenge you to see what The Throwing Club is all about. We are implementing new techniques with some good old fashioned hard work and proven scientific protocols to change the way people look at throwing. Using video analysis and optical radar, we can not only tell you what your mechanics are doing, we will show you! Want to know how fast you throw, no problem? Want to know your spin rate, axis, horizontal and vertical break, no problem? Want to see your mechanics in multiple views in real time and break down your strengths and weaknesses? No problem!
At The Throwing Club, we are taking throwing to the next level! Let us design a program specifically for you and guide you to a better and healthier arm. If you wish you threw harder, if you wish you threw further, or if you just want to stay healthy, you found the right place.
The Throwing Club welcomes all pitchers and position players to take the next step in their throwing career. Come see for yourself and take a look at how the new generation of throwers are doing it. It may surprise you!

Building velocity and arm strength is like cooking eggs, everyone has their favorite way to prepare and cook. In the end, everyone just wants to eat! There is no denying that velocity gains can be made by increasing physical strength, improving mechanics, teaching the arm to go faster and teaching the arm to slow down more efficiently. At The Throwing Club, we realize there are many programs promising to increase velocity. However, we feel that our throwing program and the process we incorporate is second to none.

At The Throwing Club, with the help of Driveline Baseball, Jaeger Sports and Activ8, we have implemented a process that we believe is helpful in teaching the arm to go faster (increase velocity) and to slow down more effectively (stay healthy). This process has helped many pitchers and position players see significant gains in their velocity and throwing ability. In fact, many pitchers have also reported a better feel for their command work while throwing harder in the process. Again, we do not guarantee results, but our experience has proven many athletes have the potential to become stronger throwers of the baseball.
At The Throwing Club, it’s our goal to provide a safe and challenging atmosphere for our athletes. We want every one of our throwers to not only get stronger, improve their velocity and their mechanics, but more importantly, to stay healthy. Gaining arm strength doesn’t matter if the arm breaks down. That’s why we build up the arm first and then teach it to slow down effectively. Lastly, we teach the arm to increase arm speed. Ultimately, this process has proven to improve throwing velocity and has increased positional arm carry in many players.
We are believers in the Driveline Baseball MaxVelo program and Jaeger Sports and the great work they are doing to change throwing principles. Arm power and health are not accidental. They are developed through process, effort, and research. Recovery is as important as Velo. There is no easy path and there are no shortcuts.
We leverage the latest and greatest technologies, such as sensors, multi-camera labs, ball flight analysis, etc., to help the athlete see what they should feel and to recover more efficiently. As a benefit to all, we analyze and share our data to collaborate with other leaders. Through data comes progress. The world is not flat.
The elite thrower is an elite athlete and focused conditioning is key to Velo and arm health. We are partnering with the best in the business, Activ8, to develop a strength program that aligns with the athlete's goals and level. The Diesel team is the best in the baseball business focusing on all levels from youth to professionals.

"High school athletes are often rank novices – they are thoroughly unadapted to stress and can be pushed to their limit every time they train because they have no previous experience! Novices do not get stronger when they train, they get stronger when they recover." - Kyle Boddy , Founder of Driveline Baseball

One of the reasons there has been such an uptick in arm injuries is that not enough time is spent on conditioning the arm and post throwing recovery. Too many young athletes are throwing competitively weekend after weekend with no recovery plan and no scheduled throwing plan in place. Tom House, founder of the National Pitching Association, may have said it best, “We pitch too much and don’t throw enough.” In essence, young pitchers pitching competitively weekend after weekend without a recovery protocol in place are ticking time bombs. They are tearing their arms down with no way to build them back up.
At The Throwing Club, we are big believers that to maximize velocity/arm strength and performance, young pitchers shouldn’t be counting the bullets left in their arm. They should be worried about how to reload! Having a post throwing recovery protocol is vital to keeping a young arm healthy. At The Throwing Club, each one of our members is given a specific arm strengthening and post throwing recovery protocol to help their arms move more efficiently, recover faster and to improve their arm’s ability to endure competitive situations more easily.
Lastly, we, at The Throwing Club, do not guarantee velocity gains. No reputable company should ever guarantee velocity gains, as there are too many factors that are still unknown when it comes to individual throwing mechanics and how to best train for velocity. Each thrower is different. Although we have come a long way in understanding what contributes to a pitcher’s ability to throw harder or a position player being able to throw further, the fact remains there is no magic formula.
